| Costa Rica Caribbean Coast Hotels, Tortuguero and Limon | |

The Caribbean Coast is full of banana and pineapple plantations and is the area of Costa Rica where many of the people are of Jamaican ancestry and thus speak English and Spanish. The beaches are beautiful but there are less hotels in the area. The northern part is especially noted for world record snook and tarpon and is reached only by boat thru exotic canals. The road from San Jose to Limon is good but south from Limon to the beaches, depending on the time of year, the roads are not great but since they the highway is almost all flat the driving is not too difficult. The weather is typical Caribbean. |
