Day 01: Meet your guide at 6:30 and departure to
Tortuguero National Park. On the way stop for breakfast in a typical restaurant
and visit to a banana plantation. A boat will take you through the channels
to the splendid Jungle Lodge. Lunch and in the afternoon visit to the small
village of Tortuguero. Dinner and overnight at Jungle Lodge or similar.
Day 02: At 5:30 an unforgetableexcursion take you
to discover the most hidden corners of the secondary channels where it's
possible to spot squirrel monkeys and white faced monkeys, slots, crocodiles,
red frog and toucans. (optional excursion for the 3 days - 2 nights package).
Breakfast and time to walk in the forest and relax (or start your way back
to San José). Lunch and in the afternoon climb the mud hills from
where you can have a look of all the Tortuguero Park. Dinner and in the
night optional excursion to see the nestling of the giant turtles (Jun -
Sep). Dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Breakfast and start your way back to San
José. On the way, stop for lunch and in the afternoon arrival at
San José. (17:00)
Jungle Lodge
Location: On the main channel of Tortuguero, just across the beach
where the turtles go nestling.
Services: 30 bungalows with private bathroom, fan and terrace.
Hotel facilities include bar, restaurant, game room with pool, tennis table
and other, walking trails.
Opinion: one of hte best Hotels of Tortuguero. Excellent guides
and all the Staff is willing to help. Good the food. |
